Responsibilities

  • Smooth, clean, and polish metal and other materials using grinding tools and machines.
  • Operate hand-held grinders, bench grinders, and other related tools safely and efficiently.
  • Interpret and follow technical drawings to meet design standards.
  • Remove excess material, welds, and defects to ensure proper fit and finish of components.
  • Clean, inspect, and maintain grinding tools and equipment to ensure functionality and product accuracy.
  • Collaborate with welders, fabricators, or supervisors to ensure project requirements.
  • Monitor and report the need for new tools or materials when supplies are low.
  • Complete assigned tasks within deadlines to support overall project schedules.

Requirements

  • Previous experience of 1–3 years in grinding, metal finishing, or similar industrial roles is usually required.
  • Expertise in using hand-held and machine grinders, as well as other metalworking tools.
  • A high school diploma/professional training in metalwork, fabrication, or mechanical fields is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow technical drawings, measurements, and specifications.
  • Good physical health, including strength and stamina, is required as the job involves standing, lifting, and repetitive movements.
  • Focus on ensuring high-quality finishes and accurate work.
